Manual Infeed Station The Manual infeed station allows an operator to load multiple trusses and truss sizes. Roof Truss Assembly Station Used to assemble complete trusses. It is a standard side eject assembly table utilizing two robots to pick members with nail plates and place them in the correct position. Roof Truss Preplate Station The preplate station picks a variety of nail plates with an IRB 1200 robot and delivers them to an intermediate fixture.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The floor truss system allows an operator to manually load members in a sequenced order. The members will either get spliced (if a top or bottom chord) or go directly to the preplate station (if it is a web). Once spliced and preplated with the appropriate nail plate(s), member then travels to the table for automatic layout and assembly. The floor truss system uses two mirrored lines that feed a single assembly table; ejecting two trusses every time the gantry press is operated

Slide Key Features • Max size of a roof truss is 70 feet long and 13 feet tall.
• System can accept 2×4, 2×6, and 2×10.
• Longest member is 20 feet long. Shortest member is 6″ to automatically assemble. However, any member can be manually placed on the table before the truss is pressed, allowing an almost a limitless size and configuration of trusses.
• Required Personnel – 3 to 5 operators

• Preplating system is configurable to use all common plates (currently configured with over 65 different sizes.) System allows for nail plates to be manually placed before the truss is pressed. Since the saw is decoupled, the infeed board size, quality and specifications are completely independent of the assembly systems.
• Data Collection – System collects cycle time data

• System meets all applicable safety requirements. For robotics, meeting ANSI Robot Safety Standard, ANSI/RIA R15.06 – 2012
• Rate – The truss system’s rate is dependent on how many nail plates are in the truss design. The FULL roof truss system uses 2 infeeds, 2 preplate systems and 2 assembly robots for the quoted rate of 1,500 Bf/Hr. Additional data available upon request.
